First published in 1882, this collection contains Stevenson's earliest published and critically acclaimed fiction, including such story cycles as 'The Suicide Club', 'The Rajah's Diamond' and 'The Pavilion on the Links'.

Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) was an important Scottish novelist, best known for works including 'Treasure Island', 'Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' and 'Kidnapped'. His works were extremely widely-read and acclaimed during his lifetime, and he is one of the most widely translated authors in the world.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and a little general wear to the boards. Ownership inscription to the first page. Internally, generally firmly bound, with a few early leaves loosening slightly; pages 3-30 in the advertisements at the rear are also loose. Pages are bright and clean.
