This volume features a collection of verses by Adelaide Anne Procter, an English poet and philanthropist. The collection features an introduction by the celebrated Charles Dickens, who was friends with her father and who first published her works in his literary periodicals.

Condition

Bound in full calf. Externally smart with fading to the spine, rubbing to the joints and extremities, and marks to the boards. A bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound with generally clean and bright pages with minor spotting to the front and rear and minimal age toning. Ink inscription dated 1885 to the front blank.
