This work is a reprint of the 1701 edition, and comprises a fascinating description of the area following the author's travels to the islands. It describes the way of life of the islands' inhabitants.

Penned by John Brand (c1668-1738), with this being his most important work.

Containing the bookplate of Balfour Stewart (1828-1887), a Scottish physicist and meteorologist who wrote a number of important science textbooks.

This is a limited edition, being No. 42 of 157 copies.

Condition

In a full cloth binding with the original spine label. Externally, generally smart, with a little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound; pages are uncut and bright and clean.
