What Our Customers Say...

Description

Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

Maori is an Eastern Polynesian language spoken by the Maori people, the indigenous people of New Zealand. It was recognised as being an official language of New Zealand in 1987. The language did not originally have an indigenous writing system, and missionaries at the start of the nineteenth century introduced locals to the Latin alphabet, and a grammar and vocabulary was prepared by Titore, Tui and Professor Samuel Lee at the University of Cambridge.

This work comprises a grammatical guide, vocabulary section and an appendix of questions.
