Illustrated, Leather Binding, Original Binding

In the original French. An informative medical guide to various bodily issues, offering advice on their remedies. Some of the topics covered in this book include torticollis, a stiffness of the neck, spine deviations, dislocations of the hip, knock-knee, and clubfoot. Written by A. Dubrueil, who was a Professor in the medical faculty at Montpellier. Illustrated with numerous in-text illustrations throughout, signed by an 'A. K.'

Condition

In the original quarter calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Light rubbing to the boards and to the extremities, being heavier to the rear board. Rubbing to the head and tail of the spine, resulting in a little discolouration. A little bumping to the extremities. Very light marking to the spine. Some spots to the fore edge. Label to the front pastedown, 'Librairie Papeterie Guerlin Martin Rue de Tambour Reims'. Prior owner's pencil annotations to the verso to the front endpaper. Prior owner's label to the recto of the front free endpaper, 'Mr J R Kirkup, Weston Hill, Weston Park East, Bath, BA1 2XA'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with some spotting. Pencil inscription to the half-title page, 'Mollenfeld'(?). Light stamp to the half-title. Stamp an dink inscription to the title page, which has offset to the reverse of the page. The odd pencil annotation to the margins.
