    Illustrated, Limited Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

    Bound in the original publisher's' cloth with the original paper labels still intact. Complete in Ten Volumes. With 40 Plates, collated complete. Edited, with a Biographical Essay, by Leslie Stephen Pages are unopened throughout the Volumes. Limited Edition. One Thousand Copies of this Edition have been printed for sale in Europe, and Two Hundred and Fifty Copies for sale in the United States of America. This copy is No. 583. This set includes Tom Jones, Amelia, Joseph Andrews, Jonathan Wild, A Voyage to Lisbon, Legal Papers, Legal Cases, Poems, Essays, and his Dramatic Works. Included are the errata pages and note, "A typographical error having been discovered on page 125 and on 399 of volume VI. after some copies had been delivered to subscribers, cancel leaves are given with the copies of the present Volume sent to those subscribers."

    Condition

    In original publishers' cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Slight bumping and rubbing to extremities and head and tail of spines. Small splits to head of spines. Slight loss to spine labels. Hinges, strained but firm to most volumes. Hinges tender to volume one. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with occasional scattered spotting. Pages age toned to edges. Spotting, marks, small closed tears and age toning to errata pages.
