First edition. Scarce work. Illustrated with a frontispiece and eighteen plates, two of which are folding, and three in-text images. Collated complete. A detailed historical record of charitable bequests and donations known to the inhabitants of Doncaster. With information of various charities, both past and present, that were connected with the place. Written by Charles Jackson, an English banker and antiquary who helped to establish the Doncaster Free Library.
Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Minor sunning to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot or handling mark. Minor age toning to the extremities.
