Leather Binding

Part of larger set of the works of William Makepeace Thackeray. This volume includes 'The History of Samuel Titmarsh and the Great Hoggarty Diamond', 'The Memoirs of Mr. C. J. Yellowplush', and 'Burlesques' William Makepeace Thackeray was a British novelist, known for his satirical work. He is perhaps best known for his novel 'Vanity Fair', which received much critical success. Incredibly popular with the Victorian reader, he was an influential literary figure of this time. So much so Charlotte Bronte dedicated the second edition of her work 'Jane Eyre' to Thackeray.

Condition

In a a half morocco binding with paper covered boards. Externally generally smart. Patches of rubbing to the spine, boards and joints. Internally generally firmly bound. Binding is strained to the reverse of the front endpaper. Pages are generally clean. Small tide marks to the first few pages towards the fore edge. The remaining pages are mostly clean with the odd handling mark and occasional spot.
