Leather Binding
Two volumes of this reference work by Jean-Henri-Nicolas Bouillet. In the original French. Complete in two volumes, with a supplement to the rear of volume II. This encyclopedic work is a dictionary of Science, letters and arts.
Condition
In a half calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart with a small amount of rubbing to the joints and to the cloth covered boards. Cracks to the joints of volume I, worse to the rear joint. To the front pastedown of volume I are clippings on the bibliographic information of this work. Also a bookseller's label, Sotheran. Internally, both volumes are firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to edges with the odd spots throughout.
