    Description

    Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

    Telling of a child's journey of discovery through the natural world. German tale written by Friedrich Wilhelm Carové, here translated t English by Sarah Austin. 

    Featuring fifteen coloured plates by Eleanor Vere Boyle. Collated, complete.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally smart with shelf wear, chipped to head and tail of spine. Previous owner's gift and ownership inscriptions to verso half title, dated 1882 and 1917. Internally, binding generally firm. Closed tear to p. 38 tape repaired by previous owner. Pages generally clean.
