A collection of short tales exploring the youths of some of Shakespeare's heroines, including: Portia, Helena, Desdemona, Bianca, Ophelia, Rosalind, Juliet, Viola, and many others. Written by Mary Cowden Clarke, an English author and compiler of Shakespeare. Illustrated by Thomas Francis Dicksee, a British painter, and William Salter Herrick, an English painter, both of whom were often inspired by the works of Shakespeare.

Condition

In the original full calf binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the board. Joints lightly starting but remain firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot.
