First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

A first edition study of the coins of England, Scotland and Ireland. Illustrated throughout.

A manual for collectors, including 'a history and description of the coinage of Great Britain, from the earliest ages to the present time'. With forty-four pages dedicated to approximate values of coins.

This work is undated to the title page, but can be identified as the 1879 first edition via Jisc.

With twenty pages of publisher's advertisements and further contemporary advertisements to the rear.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Some small losses to the cloth at back strip, with bumping to head and tail of spine. Internally, binding slightly strained in places. Pages generally clean and bright.
