An Eye For An Eye was serialised in the Whitehall Review and was first published in two volumes in January 1879. The novel follows Fred Neville, who seduces the beautiful Kate O'Hara who lives in poverty in an isolated cottage in Western Ireland.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some fading to the spine and bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Some light marks to the boards. Hinges are starting but remain firm. Internally, binding is loosening in places with pages 55-58 loose but present. Pages remain bright and clean.
