Alfred Tennyson was the Poet Laureate for most of Queen Victoria's reign, securing great success during his lifetime. His poems still live on, with him becoming one of the most popular British poets ever. His poems include 'Ulysses', 'The Lady of Shalott', and 'Lady Clara Vere de Vere'.
Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece.
Prize inscription to the verso of the front endpaper, presenting the work to John Howard Palmer in 1878.
Condition
In a full morocco binding. Externally, generally smart. Spine is faded. A little rubbing to the spine and extremities. Some minor marks to the boards. Prize inscription to the verso of the front endpaper. Spots to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spots to the first and last few pages.
