A comprehensive collection of biographies in a large paper volume looking at the life and work of musicians of the likes of Roland de Lattre, Haendel, Bach, Beethoven, Rossini, Weber, and many others. Illustrated with forty-five engraved etchings of portraits by Masson, Deblois, and Massard.

Condition

In a full straight up grain morocco binding with gilt tooling to the spine, four raised bands and doubleur endpapers, gilt to the edges. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear, minor rubbing to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Minor cockling to the leaves due to tight binding. Illustrated with forty-five etched portraits. Collated, complete.
