    An interesting compilation of treaties and tariffs between Great Britain and China since 1842. The works within this book are complied from official documents for a purely private undertaking. 

    Edward Hertslet was a Librarian and Keeper of Papers in the Foreign Office.

    Condition

    In cloth binding. Externally, smart. Some fading to the joints, spine and boards. Some bumping to the spine and extremities. Previous owner inscription to the front pastedown. A stamp to the title page stating 'Supplied for the public service'. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages. Some scattered spots throughout.
