Authorship not stated, 'by the author of 'Stories of Waterloo,' 'The Bivouac,' 'The Life of Wellington,' etc., etc.'

Illustrated with five monochrome plates of engravings. Collated, complete.

Prior owner's prize book label to the first pastedown from 1885.

Condition

In full calf binding. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. This has resulted in some slight wear to the leather in these areas, particularly to the head of the spine. Prior owner's prize book plate to the front pastedown from 1885. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot and some slight aging.
