Description
Penned by acclaimed textile designer and poet William Morris (1834-1896). Morris is credited with reviving traditional British textile art, and he helped establish modern fantasy as a writer, publishing short stories, novels and poetry throughout his life. He is still hailed as a prominent figure of the Victorian era remembered primarily for his art, although he was more renowned in his lifetime for poetry.
This was Morris' third collection of poetry.
A seventh edition, illustrated with Morris' own woodcut to the title page.
Condition
In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally a trifle rubbed, with some slight loss to the head of the spine, which is a little cocked and faded. Pages are a little spotted, but bright.
