Second edition. Charles Kingsley (12 June 1819 – 23 January 1875) was an English priest of the Church of England, university professor, historian and novelist, particularly associated with the West Country and northeast Hampshire. Complete in two volumes.

Condition

In cloth bindings. Externally sound, though with a couple of marks and some slight bumping to the extremities. Front joints starting. Front hinge strained. Internally, generally firmly bound. Some loss to the front free-endpaper of both volumes. Pages are bright, though with scattered patches of light foxing and the occasional handling mark.
