First Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding

The two volume first edition of journalist and author Edmund Ollier's history of the conflict between Russia and the Ottoman Empire, illustrated throughout.

With volume I discussing 'The Commencement of the War to the Fall of Plevna' and the second volume covering the period from 'December, 1878, to the Ratification of Peace' in March 1878.

With an illustrated frontispiece to each volume, and numerous vignette illustrations throughout.

Undated; dated via Jisc.

Condition

In half calf bindings with cloth covered boards. Rebacked, with back strip laid down. Significant marks to boards, and rubbing to back strips. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned to perimeters, with scattered light spotting.
