    Description

    First Edition, Illustrated

    Copiously illustrated throughout with many plates by Thackeray. With some notes by Anne Isabella Thackeray, the author's daughter. Including An Unpublished Romance by Alexandre Dumas, Initial Letters No. 2, The Mesmerizer and many more.

    Condition

    In a cloth binding with paper-covered boards. Externally, rather worn, with rubbing and wear to the extremities. Internally, gutta percha binding has failed. Ink signature to half-title. Pages are bright, and quite clean, though with some occasional handling marks.
