A charming nineteenth-century book of recipes and cooking memories, organised by months of the year. Each month is paired with various culinary and gastronomic suggestions, along with themed events.

Written by English journalist William Blanchard Jerrold under the pen name 'Fin-Bec'. He authored numerous cookery works, including the noted 'The Epicure's Year Book'. 

Illustrated with a vignette title page, collated and complete. 

A very scarce work. 

Containing a previous owner's ink inscription to the verso of the title page.

Condition

In the publisher's original decorative cloth binding. Externally, very smart and bright, with some light shelf wear and light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Containing a previous owner's ink inscription to the verso of the title page. Internally, front hinge lightly strained. Remaining binding is generally firm. A few light marks to the pages, which are otherwise bright and clean.
