Moffat was a well known Scottish Congregationalist missionary, and the father-in-law of David Livingstone.
Illustrated with a frontispiece, vignette title page, twenty plates, and in-text illustrations.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A couple of minor marks to the boards and spine. Light spots to the fore edge. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some spots.
