Early edition of Old Christmas from the Sketch Book of Washington Irving in the original publisher's cloth binding.
The first of this edition. This was the first time these works of short fiction were collected together in this way. They were first published in The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon.
With beautiful decorative gilt to the front board and spine.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The hinges are strained. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some occasional spotting.
