A very scarce report on the state of banks across the UK, and drawing light on issues that bank workers and owners had as a result of the laws.   

In half long grain morocco Institute of Bankers Library binding.

The proceedings make references to the various Bank Acts implemented by that time, including the Bank Charter Act of 1844, which placed restrictions on any banks in England and Wales that issued their own banknotes.

With lists of the selected committee and witnesses pertaining to the report.

In half long grain morocco Institute of Bankers Library binding. Externally, smart. With wear to the joints and extremities. Marks to the boards. With the Institute of Bankers bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with signs of age toning and a faded library ink impression to the front free endpaper.
