Author's inscription to the front leaf, 'with the writer's complim[ents] and acknowledgment ........... A very scarce work. An extract from the June 1875 issue of the 'Journal of Botany'. This is a brief essay discussing the species of flora in Cheshire. An expanded work on the same subject was published posthumously in 1899, titled 'Flora of Cheshire'. Written by John Warren, the third Baron de Tabley. Warren was a botanist, numismatic, and poet.
Condition
Disbound. Externally, the outer leaves with minor edge wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Stamp and small part of tape adhered to the head of the rear wrap. Author's inscription to the head of page i.
