Bound in full calf with yapp edges and gilt detailing.
'Hymns Ancient and Modern' came as a result of the Oxford Movement, which argued for the reinstatement of some older Christian traditions of faith and their inclusion into Anglican liturgy and theology.
Undated, dated from an identical copy held at the British Library.
Condition
In full calf binding with yapp edges and gilt detailing. Externally, smart. With rubbing to the extremities, resulting in a small closed tear to one of the yapp edges. Instances of leather coming away to the spine head and tail. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with odd spotting, heaviest to the endpapers.
