Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

In lovely condition.

With over one-thousand recipes, and sections devoted to meats, fish, oysters, pickles and confectionary, among others.

With three blank leaves inscribed by hand by a prior owner, containing a hand written recipe for 'Pulled Pigeon', and another for a 'delicious cocoanut cake'.

With contemporary advertisements to front and rear pastedowns, and final nineteen pages.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with marks to boards. Front hinge strained and rear hinge starting, with boards holding firm. Internally, one contents leaf detached, otherwise firmly bound. Three of the blank leaves at the centre of the work - intended for the owner to supply their own recipes - have been partially filled in by hand. Pages otherwise generally clean and bright.
