Containing a number of paper clippings loosely inserted, dating over a century between 1892 and 1994. These include articles with headlines such as 'To Mrs Beer, a son, Bottled', 'Name-Calling', 'When Bread Married Butter' and 'Mr. Collarbone has broken his collarbone'.

Written by Charles Wareing Bardsley (1844-1898), an author of genealogical and antiquarian works, with his other titles including 'Memorials of St. Ann's Church, Manchester' and 'John Lexley's Troubles'.

A second edition.

Enhanced by the inclusion of various humorous paper clippings spanning a century relating to the work.

Condition

In a half crushed morocco binding. Externally a trifle rubbed, with slight loss to the leather of the head and tail of the spine from rubbing, as well as the raised bands and extremities. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown; numerous paper clippings pasted in throughout the work. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
