Edward Bulwer-Lytton or Lord Lytton was an English writer and politician who coined the famous phrase "the pen is mightier than the sword." Lytton was a popular author during the Victorian period and drew heavily on his interest in the occult and contributed to the early growth of science fiction. 

All are illustrated with a frontispiece.

Condition

All are uniformly bound in half morocco binding with marbled covered boards. Externally, all are generally very smart with some light marks to the spines and boards and some light rubbing to the tail of the spine of volume one. The front hinges are starting on volumes one, two, five, ten, twelve, twenty, twenty four and twenty five but they all remain firm. Internally, all are firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
