A very scarce copy of this work, rarely seen in commerce.
A travelogue through India and Egypt, including notes and observations on Calcutta and Alexandria, Indian daily life and festivities, characters of the seasons, descriptions of mountain rambles, family life, &c.
Published anonymously under 'A.U.', a lady.
Featuring eighteen illustrations, of which six in full page. Collated, complete. With two leaves of publisher's advertisements to rear.
Condition
In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally with some shelf wear, bumped with minor loss to head and tail of spine and extremities, boards marked and soiled. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to first and last few leaves, pages otherwise generally bright and clean.
