French language. Illustrated with frontispiece and eleven plates. Collated complete. A collection of letters from Voltaire, a French Enlightenment writer, philosopher, and historian, with biographical sketches of persons of note from the time. Letters are addressed to individuals such as: Madame la Marquise de Mimeure, A. M. Thiriot, Berger, Prince Royal de Prusse, Mademoiselle Clairon, le Marechal Duc de Richelieu, and many others. Written and collected by Louis Moland, a French literary critic, editor, and historian.

Condition

Bound in quarter morocco with patterned boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and minor chipping to the boards. Fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting.
