Very scarce work. An abstract of the Coal Mines Regulation Act, 1872, which introduced the requirement for pit managers to have state certification of their training. Miners were also given the right to appoint inspectors from among themselves. With specific reference to new rules to be observed by workers of Henry Briggs, Son and Company, the coalmaster at Whitwood and Methley Junction Collieries.

Condition

In the original paper wraps. Externally, worn with light wear and chipping to the extremities. The odd small closed tear or crease. With large splits to the spine, external wraps could detach with further handling. Light sunning and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with handling marks and light age toning to the extremities.
