Includes coins, weights and measures of Spain and her present and former Colonies. The book is compiled for researchers, giving insight into both the rise of Spanish commerce and the development of the Spanish language, specifically the Castilian tongue, which had to be adapted for the sake of trade using combinations of French and German. Condition

In a cloth binding. Externally, sound with marks to boards and corners bumped. Bumping to head and tail of spine with loss to head of spine. Closed tear to front joint. Hinges strained but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound though contents page is disbound. Foxing to pastedowns and first couple of pages, otherwise pages bright with handling marks throughout.
