The first edition of this work. 

Alfred Lord Tennyson's Idyllis of the King is one of the most famous Victorian retelling of the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, published between 1859 and 1885 consisting of twelve poems.

The present volume includes four poems from the collection, namely 'The Coming of Arthur,' 'The Holy Grail,' 'Pelleas and Ettarre,'and 'The Passing of Arthur;' as well as featuring seven further miscellaneous poems such as 'The Golden Supper,' 'The Victim,' and 'Lucretius.' 

Condition

In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only, minor bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities, boards and spine lightly soiled. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean.
