This is a fantastically thorough catalogue of a variety of British plants, and one which offers rich etymological information about different species names. Authored by R. C. A. Prior, an English physician and botanist.
Condition
In the publisher's original stamped cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with some splitting of the cloth at the spine along the joints and bumping to the head and tail of the spine at the corners resulting in fractional lifting of the cloth. Very slight rubbing to the boards. Front hinge slightly strained. Internally, includes original author's advertisement on pp. v. Firmly bound with bright clean pages. A few minor chips not impacting the text on pp. xvii-xviii, pp. 21-24 and pp. 261-262. Slight age toning and spotting to the endpapers.
