Illustrated with an engraved title page, six plates to 'Hop-O'-My-Thumb', six plates to 'Jack and the Beanstalk', six plates to 'Cinderella', and six plates to 'Puss in Boots'.
Collated, complete.
Each tale is individually paginated.
'An Address to Little Boys and Girls' after 'Puss in Boots'. 'To Parent's Guardians, and All Persons Intrusted With the Care of Children', after 'Puss in Boots'.
Compiled and illustrated by George Cruikshank, the noted Victorian artist known for this works for the novels of Charles Dickens.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, rebacked with the original boards and spine restored, with new endpapers. Externally, smart, with a few light marks to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the extremities. Internally, very firmly bound, though the first gatherings up to page 26 are detached but present, including two plate. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some odd spots, tidemarks to the first few plates. Small chip to the margin of the title page.
