Born to Hannah Grant and Jesse Root Grant, his ancestors Matthew and Priscilla Grant had travelled from Plymouth about the Mary and John ship, arricing in 1630.

Condition

In a contemporary full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; a little worn to the head and tail of the spine, with a few ink drops to the front board. Internally, binding is strained at the front hinge, but otherwise firmly bound. Pages are a little age-toned to the edges.
