The first edition of this work. A scarce volume. 

A comprehensive list of mottoes and aphorisms from the many works of the national bard William Shakespeare, arranged alphabetically. Including an extensive Index to the rear. 

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear and a slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. A very faint mark to the front board. With a previous owner's inscription to the title page. Internally, firmly bound. With a faint minor scattered spotting to the first and last few leaves, otherwise the pages are bright and clean.
