Originally composed to be part of long epic poem The Earthly Paradise, a popular anthology telling of a medieval group of wanderers in search of immortality, this poem is a long romantic narrative that features numerous medieval and classical sources.
In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally generally sound with some shelf wear, bumped and chipped to extremities of spine and boards. Ownership inscription to front blank page, dated 1868. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean with some browning, as usual with the type of paper used.
