In roan tuck bindings, with their tabs in full working order. All edges gilt. Two pocket diaries: The Universal Remembrancer (an almanack and diary for 1867) and The Ruby or Ladies' Boudoir Pocket Book for 1869. Both contain a pocket and pencil pouch, the Remembrancer is complete with its pencil. Frontispieces to both diaries. The Universal Remembrancer has 4 further plates. The Pocket Book has 2 further plates and a page of publisher's advertisements to the rear. The Remembrancer contains a small collection of essays and poems; an almanack for 1867; and marketing tables and a table for expenses and wages, alongside the usual ruled pages for engagements and memorandums. A couple of entries have been made from its past owner.
