Third edition. With chapters incorporating subjects from 'heraldic and emblematic signs to 'humorous and comic'. John Camden Hotten was an English bibliophile and publisher.

Condition

In a half calf binding with marbled paper covered boards. Externally, generally sound but with bumping and wear to extremities and some marks to boards. With slight splits to joint at head of spine but firm. Front hinge tender. Internally, generally firmly bound but with frontispiece and some plates detached. Generally bright and clean throughout but with odd spot to first few pages as usual.
