Description

Fine Binding, Illustrated, Leather Binding

In a beautiful half morocco binding, with paper covered boards. 

Compte-Calix was a portrait painter who studied in the fine art school in Lyons and in the studio of J.C Bonnefond. 

Being all fifteen plates from this work. Bound without the title page. 

Plates 6,7,8,9 and 12 have been illuminated with gold leaf. 

A very bright example of this work.

Condition

In a half morocco binding, with paper covered boards. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright. Occasional light spots to pages.
