What Our Customers Say...

Description

Folding Plates, Original Binding

The scarce 1864 edition of this work, complete with folding map frontispiece depicting Palestine and its adjacent countries.

This is the work of Presbyterian Free Church of Scotland minister and historian of religion James Aitken Wylie, best known for his 1878 work 'The History of Protestantism'.

In this work Aitken compares his Biblical observations with his experience of mid nineteenth century Palestine, aiming to discern modern day evidence of Biblical prophecy. Chapters are divided geographically, with the final sections of the work focused on the fulfilment of Biblical prophecy regarding the agriculture, commerce, political and social conditions and cities of the region.
