    First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

    The very scarce first edition of this work.

    A selection of entertaining acrostics, all of which had never appeared in print before.

    Compiled by various anonymous friends.

    Thirty two pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

    Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the rear endpaper.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with a little rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, a small amount of lifting to the tail of the spine. A few light marks to the boards. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the rear endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with some odd spots. Large chip to the head of the title page, affecting the title and ink inscription above the title.
