A very scarce work.

A mid-Victorian cookery book, instructing the reader in many aspects of the kitchen.

Illustrated with ten plates, and in-text illustrations.

Bound without front endpaper.

Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at King's College London.

Eight pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, the joints are a little cracked. Minor marks and a little rubbing to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Front hinge is strained but remains firm. Rear hinge is starting but firm. Bound without front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with a few odd handling marks.
