    Illustrated, Leather Binding

    An interesting volume on heraldry by Victor Bouton. Published in French, with 460 descriptions of coats of arms, and 800 family names. With sections on coins, the physical materials used to make coats of arms, and the meaning of the ornaments and animals found on them.

    Condition

    In a red quarter calf binding over patterned boards. Externally, generally smart. Lightly rubbed to the boards, spine, and the joints, with a little bumping towards the extremities. Lightly rubbed to the head and tail of the spine. The front hinge is starting, but firm. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages.
