Fifteen volumes of a sixteen volume Set Containing Volumes II to XVI inclusively. Missing Volume I Thomas Penson De Quincey (1785 – 1859) was an English essayist, best known for his Confessions of an English Opium-Eater (1821). Many scholars suggest that in publishing this work De Quincey inaugurated the tradition of addiction literature in the West.
Condition
In original cloth boards. Externally rubbed with some bumping and wear to the head and tail of the spines. Hinge strained to volume XVI only. Internally volumes are firmly bound. Pages are generally clean and bright with some occasional spotting.
