Description

Author's Presentation Copy, First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed

The first edition of this work. Author's signed presentation copy, signed by the author to the verso to the front endpaper, 'J. L. Watts, with the kind regards of J. A. Langford'. An interesting collection of short looks at various walks and rambles taken in England and Wales, including looking at Derbyshire, Kenilworth, Clifton, Boscobel, and more. With an illustrated title page. Written by John Alfred Langford. Langford was an antiquary and journalist who was based in Birmingham. With two pages of publisher's adverts to the rear. Undated, dated from Copac from a copy held at the British Library.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Very light rubbing to the spine. A couple of minor marks to the boards. Hinges are strained but remain firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned with the odd scattered spot.
