In a full calf binding with marbled edges. Ink inscription to the first blank page, dated 1861. A popular alphabetical index of the principal words of the Old and New Testaments, originally created by Alexander Cruden (1699-1770) and later edited by John Eadie (1810-1876). Cruden's Bible Concordance was well-known as the most consistent and complete concordance, and further editions were published after his death. It has not been out of print since 1737.
Condition
In a full calf binding. Externally smart, with rubbing to the end bands, extremities and head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally clean, with the occasional spotting, more so to the first few pages.
